We don't formulate performance. We engineer it.
EVOQ engineers spherical metamaterials through a patented high-energy laser-ablation platform. Structure is controlled during formation—without chemical synthesis or post-synthetic correction—to create consistent materials ready for application development. EVQ-218, our most extensively studied silver metamaterial, is backed by peer-reviewed characterization and broad-spectrum antimicrobial research.
Structure engineered at production
Shape, size distribution, stability, and production consistency begin with how the material is made.
1. Shape
High-energy laser ablation produces highly spherical EVQ-218 material with a consistent, smooth morphology.
2. Size distribution
Peer-reviewed characterization reports a very narrow size distribution, providing a consistent starting material for application development.
3. Stability
EVQ-218 characterization reports stable, nonemissive surface behavior without added capping agents.
4. Production
Exceptional batch-to-batch consistency.
Built for repeatable material performance
EVOQ controls material structure during formation instead of relying on chemical reducing agents, surfactants, capping agents, or corrective post-processing. The result is a consistent material platform for defined formulations, substrates, and applications.
What the EVOQ platform enables
Precise particle structure
Spherical morphology and a very narrow size distribution are engineered at production, creating a consistent material platform for research and application development.
Surface behavior without coatings
EVQ-218 is produced without added capping agents, polymers, or surfactant coatings—so the material surface remains central to its behavior.
A platform for focused research
The platform is designed to support work across antimicrobial materials, device and coating concepts, and other high-value material applications.
Evidence ready for review
Peer-reviewed publications, third-party testing, and technical resources help teams evaluate the platform on its own merits.

EVOQ is developing its high-energy laser-ablation platform across multiple material systems. Each material is introduced with its own characterization, development status, and application evidence.
How the platform worksEVQ-218: the platform in practice
EVQ-218 has demonstrated broad-spectrum in vitro antimicrobial activity across more than 64 bacterial, fungal, and mycobacterial isolates. Published serial-passage research found no measurable increase in MIC after 30 passages across all six ESKAPE pathogens.
